This classically-styled pants pattern with a European (tailored) cut has a plain front, fly front zipper, slant pockets,
single front darts, double back darts, a 1” waistband, belt loops, and a slightly tapered leg. It replaces the popular JSM Pant 1 pattern.
The JSM Pants Block is a single-sized pattern with a letter designation A – L for 35 to 63 in (89 to 160 cm) hip measurement.
Each JSM Pants Block pattern comes with sewing instructions and one size packet. (A size packet contains pattern pieces and
Pattern Measurements worksheets for one size.)
The JSM Pants Block is the same as JSM Pant 1 with the following additions and improvements.
- Two waist size options, Standard Waist and Plus Waist for each pattern size.
The Plus Waist option adds 3 to 4 in (7.6 to 10.2 cm) to the waistband.
- Metric charts added and metric equivalents displayed throughout the guide text.
- Curved front dart for better fit over the tummy.
- New Pattern Measurements charts.
Figures rounded to eighths and displayed as eighths to
make adding and subtracting easy.
- Updated construction directions.
Select size according to Your Hip Measurement from either the inches or the centimeters Size Chart.
If your measurement around the torso at thigh level is larger, use the thigh measurement. If abdomen (3 in (7.6 cm) below waist) is the same as or more than
hips, select one size larger. If your waistline is larger than the Standard Waistband measurement for your selected size,
use the Plus Waist option. |
